The latest version of SpeedFactor, deployed yesterday, brings lots of performance improvement for our audits and the interval they are running on.
The security audit had the TLS connection scrapped, as our spider uses TLS 1.2. In case the website is not available, an error will be displayed. TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are deprecated and will be removed from Chrome (and possibly Firefox) in 2021.
If you are using Cloudflare, then you can force TLS 1.2 or 1.3 for your website.
The security score now takes an SSL and TLS 1.2+ into account.
The security audit now displays colour-coded raw headers, ready for inspection.
Other small changes include fixing some old/wrong (pre-migration) URLs for the DNS/SPF checks.
Next (and last) changes this year include several more security checks and a tighter performance audit, possibly combining several metrics. Also, some audits and some features need to be clarified and more tips/tricks/actions need to be added.
We have more big changes on our roadmap, such as better user feedback, custom reports and thresholds alerts.
